We approached this design with “All Purpose” on the brain. Svek started out as a clean lined square Ikebana vase but it was looking a bit too contemporary so we rounded out the corners and hand formed the lip for a soft, organic vibe.

Then we really started to have fun with colour. From cool shades of greens and blues to warm pastel pinks and mint and yellow, to modern metallic silver and gold, there are a ton of colour grouping options no matter what your personal style is.

Once you bring your Svek home your options for how to use it are just as varied as the design. Create a vertical floral arrangement using a Frog or Kenzan placed at the bottom of the container. Your Air Plants will snuggle into a Svek oh so sweetly. And don’t even get us started with using Svek as a planter. Our love for itty bitty succulents is strong and we’re obsessed with using the Svek Cubes for creating miniature succulent gardens, for propagation, or just as a simple drop in pot for all your 2” succulents and cacti.

We’ve all been there, you get home from the garden centre and you look at your new baby succulent or cactus in its plastic nursery pot and you think, “Ugh, I don’t feel like repotting this today.” That’s why a cachepot for easy drop in’s is a brilliant planter to have laying around the house. Without having to worry about a drainage hole or saucer our design possibilities opened up wide. We went with resin for the material. Resin allowed us to play with texture and shape in a way we never had before. We kept the colour palette simple with greys and whites so that the unique grooves and ridges of the patterns would be the standout focal point. What can I say about Ethel that she can't say for herself?

She has no drainage hole but this problem can be counteracted by adding a shallow layer of gravel for drainage below the soil and taking care not to overwater whatever succulent or cacti is inside. Or try your luck with an air plant, she's a turtle of many tastes!

These small modern garden pots will fare best in the safety of your own home but take them outside in the summer to jazz up a small outdoor space. Backyard BBQ's just got more whimsical!
