We call these collections of beautiful ceramic succulents and flowers and sea-like creatures “Coral” but we should have just called them “Stunning”. Each Coral piece is handmade and that is reflected in their exquisite detail, each one is a little work of art that is completely unique. They are beautifully crafted and blend beautifully into any home, from modern minimalist and boho chic to country traditional and classic Cape Cod.

When we made the first collection some years ago they were designed as cool tabletop decorations, similar to something we saw in Grandmas curio when we were kids and that we always wanted to sneak home with us. We love using them as coffee table accent pieces; we mix them in with our terrariums and planters for extra colour and texture amidst the foliage.

It wasn’t until a few collections in that we thought, "wouldn't it be cool if they hung on a wall!” The wall art design ideas are innumerable, there is so much room for interior decorating creativity. Go full gluttony and create a massive installation in the living room over your couch. Run a wave of them down your foyer hall. Take an old picture frame and use it to frame-in 3 or 5 pieces above your bed.

Using a ceramic pottery base and starting with a neutral tan and white and black and grey colour pallet, we layered on simple but eye catching patterns and carved out textures for a cool, boho chic, beachy vibe. We went with the handmade ceramics approach and made the rims of each pot scalloped to give them an organic feel.  The wavy lines of the edges give the pots just enough movement to look interesting. This ain’t no Basic planter!

We really wanted to achieve a modern and clean look that could also work in a more traditional environment. We used warm tones of copper and bronze contrasted against textures and subtle patterns in earthy colours like brown, green and mahogany and we hit the nail on head. Each pot has a matching saucer to give them a clean, polished look.

Your plants will feel sophisticated and cool in these planters. Just remember, if you keep your Joe’s in a consistently hot and sunny area make sure you check the soil for dryness a little more frequently than you would for a ceramic planter as the heat with dry it out quicker.

We approached this design with “All Purpose” on the brain. Svek started out as a clean lined square Ikebana vase but it was looking a bit too contemporary so we rounded out the corners and hand formed the lip for a soft, organic vibe.

Then we really started to have fun with colour. From cool shades of greens and blues to warm pastel pinks and mint and yellow, to modern metallic silver and gold, there are a ton of colour grouping options no matter what your personal style is.

Once you bring your Svek home your options for how to use it are just as varied as the design. Create a vertical floral arrangement using a Frog or Kenzan placed at the bottom of the container. Your Air Plants will snuggle into a Svek oh so sweetly. And don’t even get us started with using Svek as a planter. Our love for itty bitty succulents is strong and we’re obsessed with using the Svek Cubes for creating miniature succulent gardens, for propagation, or just as a simple drop in pot for all your 2” succulents and cacti.

Wall mounted plant holders are our “thing” and we’re pretty proud about that. Given the success we’ve had with our current wall mounted plant holders, we had set ourselves a high bar to reach for our next offering and I think we can safely say we blew it out of the water with the Slab succulent pots.

Space is a luxury in most modern homes and apartments so we like the idea of being able to bring your succulent pots up off the table top and onto the walls which are often neglected for cool design. Slab comes in two sizes and we love the idea of grouping one of the Large with a Medium sized one. The geometric shape works perfectly for nestling the two shapes together on the wall. Or go big and do a wall art installation with a bunch of them and make your friends jealous of your vertical garden.

Offered in eight chic colours - Red, Yellow, Navy, Pink, Plum, Blue, Chartreuse, Grey – we give you lots of space to get creative. We currently are obsessed with the Navy / Pink combo.

There is enough room in the triangle space at the bottom of each Slab for you to layer some gravel in which will keep your succulents happy. We also love using a lush and large air plant in these guys and letting the leaves cascade down the wall.
