Each and every one of your plants is unique and special. We wanted to replicate that one-of-kind feeling in a line of planters so we played around with a triple dip glazing process that ensures no two pots are alike. We made sure that the colour range of Yellow, Greens, Blues and Red looks cohesive so they match together, but still are very individual from each other. While they are made of ceramic, we purposely left portions of some of the pots raw to add texture and to give them that natural vibe. The cement like appearance also pushes the look a little bit into the contemporary realm. We like to think of the Minute pots as a planter shape shifter. Whether you have a boho chic or a modern all white aesthetic going on, the colours and textures of the glazes make sense to your environment. Your houseplants and succulents will feel at home inside the pot, and your planter will feel at home inside your space.

Branching out from the clean lines and bright colours that our design work trends towards, we wanted to play with the time honoured “look" of a pot and saucer and found ourselves falling in love with Balter. Using a ceramic pottery base and starting with a neutral tan and white and black and grey colour pallet, we layered on simple but eye catching patterns and carved out textures for a cool, boho chic, beachy vibe. We call these collections of beautiful ceramic succulents and flowers and sea-like creatures “Coral” but we should have just called them “Stunning”. Each Coral piece is handmade and that is reflected in their exquisite detail, each one is a little work of art that is completely unique. They are beautifully crafted and blend beautifully into any home, from modern minimalist and boho chic to country traditional and classic Cape Cod.

When we made the first collection some years ago they were designed as cool tabletop decorations, similar to something we saw in Grandmas curio when we were kids and that we always wanted to sneak home with us. We love using them as coffee table accent pieces; we mix them in with our terrariums and planters for extra colour and texture amidst the foliage.

It wasn’t until a few collections in that we thought, "wouldn't it be cool if they hung on a wall!” The wall art design ideas are innumerable, there is so much room for interior decorating creativity. Go full gluttony and create a massive installation in the living room over your couch. Run a wave of them down your foyer hall. Take an old picture frame and use it to frame-in 3 or 5 pieces above your bed.

Some of the earlier models are tabletop only and some are too small to have the keyhole. For these ones, simply use a Command Strip to hang them.

There is a time and a place for them but we can’t lie, we’re over the look so we set out to design a cool alternative to the traditional terracotta pot and saucer. We approached this design with “All Purpose” on the brain. Svek started out as a clean lined square Ikebana vase but it was looking a bit too contemporary so we rounded out the corners and hand formed the lip for a soft, organic vibe.

Then we really started to have fun with colour. From cool shades of greens and blues to warm pastel pinks and mint and yellow, to modern metallic silver and gold, there are a ton of colour grouping options no matter what your personal style is.

Once you bring your Svek home your options for how to use it are just as varied as the design. Create a vertical floral arrangement using a Frog or Kenzan placed at the bottom of the container.
